Ever Wonder?

I decided to start blogging about my little family of mutants. That is gene mutants....let me do some splaining....

Kai was born on 1/28/05 with a Meconium Ileus. This is where that first baby poop gets stuck and won't come out. That first baby poop is called meconium. The ileus is the last part of the small intestine before the large intestine picks up the work.

So, meconium ileus just means his poop was stuck in the ileus.

We were warned that there was a possibility this could mean that he had CF...but based on our ethnicity it was doubtful. Ha....don't let anyone fool you or tell you that it isn't possible....I am here to tell you that it is.
